ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT: Angelia DeBenedittis

What's next for you?

I will be working at KIPP Montbello Elementary (KME) as a Teaching Fellow. Although KIPP is a network of charter schools, KME works closely with Denver Public Schools, so I will be working in Northeast Denver.

What's new in your life?

I recently graduated with my BS in Early Childhood Education from Colorado State University! I am proud to be an alumna of CSU. Go Rams!

What stuck out to you about the program you picked?

ANGELIA: The role of a KIPP Teaching Fellow offers support to first year teachers. As a KIPP Teaching Fellow, I will receive a lot of support on my first year of teaching. Teaching Fellows at KIPP receive feedback on their lessons and lesson plans.

What are you most nervous about?

ANGELIA: I am most nervous about acclimating to a new school. I student taught in Northeast Denver, so I am nervous about moving to a new school.

What support can the GT Community provide?

ANGELIA: It's great to know that everyone in the GT community is working hard.

What are you looking forward to the most?

ANGELIA: I am looking forward to becoming part of the KIPP family and developing relationships with my students and their families.
